Novodevichy Convent

Founded in the 16th century, the Novodevichy Convent is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Moscow's most beautiful historic landmarks. Its white-stone walls and towers, elegant churches, and picturesque pond create a unique atmosphere in every season. The convent is also home to the famous Novodevichy Cemetery, where many of Russia's most prominent cultural, political, and public figures are buried.
