Museum of Moscow
The Museum of Moscow Museum Association was founded in 1896 and is one of the oldest in the capital. Today, the museum is located in a complex of food warehouses, an architectural monument of federal significance. Over its long history, it has changed its name and location several times, but its main task has always been to study and preserve the history of the city. The museum's collection includes about 890,000 items, including unique archaeological finds and personal archives of famous Moscow families. For visitors who want to learn more about the past and present of the capital, the museum offers themed excursions. The activities of the Museum Association "Museum of Moscow" are not limited to the main building. Its structure includes several branches, including the Museum of Archeology of Moscow and the Gilyarovsky Center.
